Say Goodbye to Unsightly Scars With AcuPulse™ Fractional Resurfacing

Beauty treatments have changed a lot over the years, with skincare alone going from chemical peels to laser facials in less than a decade.

But when you want to get rid of things like acne scars, wrinkles, and other imperfections, what should you use? If you’re done with creams and makeup but don’t want to undergo surgery, maybe it’s time to try AcuPulse™ fractional resurfacing.

If you’re looking for quality skin and laser treatment, our team at Peach Skin & Laser specializes in many treatments, including fractional resurfacing. This technique can get you the results you want.

What is AcuPulse™ fractional resurfacing?

The AcuPulse™ fractional laser is a device designed to project precise microbeams of light onto multiple layers of skin. Your skin changes over time from things like age, injury, and sun exposure.

This treatment penetrates the layers of your skin to produce new collagen (a protein in your skin that helps build structure) and eliminate old skin cells.

This prompts healing on multiple layers of skin as new tissue builds. AcuPulse™ fractional resurfacing is used to treat surgical and acne scars, sun damage, and wrinkles.

What is the procedure?

The noninvasive AcuPulse™ fractional resurfacing procedure starts after your provider determines which areas need treatment.

Photos are taken as “before” shots, and an anesthetic cream is applied. A gliding gel is used to help apply the laser evenly. Then we use the fractional scanner that’s best suited for your treatment, and a cooling device may also be used to reduce discomfort.

The procedure time varies but usually only takes up to 30 minutes.

What can you expect after your treatment?

After your treatment, a mild sunburn sensation is normal in the treated areas. Mild swelling can happen and might stay for a few days. Your skin may have a pinkish tone for up to five days.

New skin will start to develop, and you can expect flaking skin and some bronze coloration in the treated areas. The flaking skin can easily be treated with moisturizer.

While the skin is healing, you should use sunblock and keep the treated areas protected from direct sunlight. Multiple treatments are likely and will vary depending on your specific needs. These will be spaced apart to allow for your skin to heal.
